Questions, questions, questions..........
Who is right and who is wrong? If we are wrong, will we be humble enough and admit our mistake or like in Romans, would we not believe even if we have seen?
Questions, questions, questions..........
Joshua, the signs are there from GOD. Would you still continue to disbelieve? You cant escape when HE has called you. Be careful what you ask for from GOD because you may get more than you bargain for.......
This' something I got from Jeremy which I thought is appropriate since we had just concluded our worship retreat. Sometimes, I wish people would not use the term, "Worship" so loosely. The times where we sing is termed, "Singspiration" while "Worship" is too massive a term to represent it. If you ask me, alot of our youths fail by overemphasizing worship in Spirit (personal experience) rather than in Truth (doctine) and that is a sad and worrying trend. Does loud music equate good and awesome worship? Think about it...........
"To worship in spirit (or in His Spirit) means to worship God from your innermost being in His very Presence, brought to us in the form of the Third Person of God, the Holy Spirit. God is a spiritual being. You cannot worship Him in your flesh; you must enter into the spiritual. This is a dimension human beings were originally designed to enter and relate to: God placed. His image within us (see Genesis :27 and 2:7). However, sin (rebellion, see Genesis 3) damaged that image and separated humanity from God and the spiritual. The fall of humankind isolates us in our flesh because its consequence, death, separates us from God. That is why, though we are beings with a spiritual capacity, we cannot perceive or experience it naturally. Only after we have put our faith completely in Jesus received His forgiveness for our sin, and been born all over again by His Holy Spirit can we even begin to understand or enter into this dimension (check John 3 and Corinthians 2:0-6).
The Truth never changes. Yet the Spirit of God flows through all of the changes in this earthly life, and makes the Truth relevant and real to every person in every place and time. Worship in Spirit and Truth go hand in hand. One cannot be really done without the other. Charismatics and Pentecostals may fail by overemphasizing worship in Spirit (personal experience). Baptists, Methodists, Bible Churches etc. may fail by overemphasizing worship in Truth (doctrine). Both are essential if God is to accept our worship."
